Nick, a year ahead of Hailey, was running for student government near the end of his sophomore year. Making his rounds in classic campaign style, he approached a table of students asking for their votes.
Hailey was sitting there.
At the time, they didn’t know each other—but something clicked.
Nick followed up with a message asking for her vote… and maybe something more. A few weeks later, they went on their first date.
After their second date, Hailey turned to a friend and said:
“I think I’m going to marry this guy.”
And now—here they are.

What once felt like coincidence now feels like something much deeper.
Nick spent summers at his grandparents’ cottage in the Thousand Islands. Hailey grew up just 20 minutes away.
